On Wednesday 24th of June 2020, the streaming of first ever live virtual soca and calypso auditions took place where 43 persons participated to be in the finalist round of the competition.
There were three categories; Ragga Soca which had 15 entries, Soca 19 entries and Calypso with 9 entries. Each category was judged out of 100 points which included criteria such as lyrics, melody, originality, among others. Moreover, 7 persons were chosen from each category to go forward to compete in the final round for $20,000xcd in cash and prizes. The event would be held at Envy Night Club on the 4th and 5th of July 2020 and streamed live via Stv Online network.
The following individuals are the ones who have made it through to the finals in the various categories. There was a tie for 7th place in both the Soca and Ragga Soca category, therefore 8 persons were picked for each of those categories.
