The Bequia Express 5 vessel has been safely tugged into Port Kingstown after the vessel stopped running this morning and started drifting.
Here is the original story we posted at 8:59 a.m.
“It was quite an experience” is how some students stuck on the Bequia Express this morning (June 15) have described their ordeal today.
The boat left Port Elizabeth, Bequia this morning to transport persons (including students) to Port Kingstown on mainland, St. Vincent, but it stopped working midway in the journey and started drifting towards the Leeward coast.
Some of the students on the vessel have exams.

The Coast Gaurd was notified, and the vessel is currently being tugged to Port Kingstown.
It is not clear why the vessel stopped moving.
