The Archery Association St. Vincent and the Grenadines will be hosting its “TRY ARCHERY – SUMMER EDITION” event on Saturday July 22nd, 2023, 1pm at the Dolphin Gymnastics Facility on the ET Joshua Tarmac, Arnos Vale.
According to a press release (July 17), the Archery Association said, the event is set as a fundraiser to assist archers to attend an upcoming World Archery Caribbean Development Championships in September 2023 in Tobago.
This will be the first team from St. Vincent and the Grenadines to attend an international archery event, the press release stated.
Our archers are confident that their training will lead them to capture medals in the various categories. We have a team of six (6) archers registered to compete at the championships in four (4) different categories, from as young as 14yrs old, said the Archery Association.
The Archery Association explained that each participant will be given the opportunity to learn the basic skill needed to shoot an Olympic Bow & Arrow with their trained instructors.
The Archery Association wishes to invite the public to the fundraiser to “Try Archery” from ages eight (8) and up.
