Prime Minister of Saint Christopher and Nevis, Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew is currently in St.
Vincent and the Grenadines on the first of a series of visits to OECS Member States.
The visiting Prime Minister arrived in the state on Friday August 25 and met with members of Cabinet including Acting Prime Minister Hon. Montgomery Daniel and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Hon. Keisal Peters.
Dr. Drew then visited the CANNA SVG Medicinal Cannabis Farm in Georgetown to get a firsthand view of SVG’s exploration into the cannabis industry and the potential social and economic impact of the industry.
While here, Prime Minister Drew will also be engaged in discussions and meetings on matters of Public Health, Regional Cooperation, and Strategies for Sustainable Development in the face of Climate Change.
The visiting delegation includes Permanent Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office, Ms.
Naeemah Hazelle.
The Kittian Prime Minister assumed the position of Head of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) Authority, in June 2023.
