The Drama Development Unit within the Ministry of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Sustainable Development and Culture, will host a two-day Teachers’ Development and Training Workshop for Secondary Schools’ Drama and Performing Arts Co-ordinators, under the overarching theme “Retooling to Revitalise the Vision.”
According to a press release yesterday, ( September 11th) the Ministry of culture said, “the workshop would cater to a wide range of Drama and or Theatre Arts related topics including but not limited to: Directing, Playwriting, Stagecraft, Makeup and Set Design.
The workshop will take place at the Peace Memorial Hall on Thursday 14th and Friday 15th September, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m respectively.
The workshop would provide teachers with the necessary tools needed to prepare for the upcoming National Schools’ Drama/Performing Arts Festival in November 2023 and serves to prepare for their “in house” productions at various schools, the Ministry of Culture said.
The two-day workshop would be facilitated by trained experts in the field of Drama, stated the press release.
