OVER 1,000 TOURISM JOBS AVAILABLE

Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Sustainable Development and Culture, Honourable Carlos James, says close to one thousand jobs will become available in the tourism and hospitality services sector within the next few months.

According to a press release from the Agency for Public Information – API issued on September 19, Minister James made this disclosure while addressing a press conference at the National Insurance Services (NIS) Conference Room, on Monday 18th September, 2023.
 
As stated by the tourism minister, several collaborators are working closely with the government to recruit Vincentians including MSC Cruise, Sandals Resorts, Soho House and Canouan Estates.
“We are continuously providing opportunities for employment and training in the tourism and hospitality services sector for all Vincentians,” Minister James said.

Sandals will also host a job fair from the 26th to 29th September with the possibility of recruiting some 800 employees.

According to the tourism minister, strengthening the linkages between tourism and other sectors is critical to building supply platforms for local products and services.
