The seven-year-old child who was reported missing by her family on Wednesday (November 1) has been found.
The child – Summer Charters was found by a search party in a temporary structure erected at the side of the road near the Technical Division of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College at Arnos Vale.
She is reported to be safe, but police picked her up and transported her.
Members of the child’s family also confirmed this information provided by members of the search party.
According to members of the search party, police were reviewing some camera footage from a private citizen in the area. The footage showed that the child was walking up the road. This footage was a lead for the search in the Sion Hill/Arnos Vale/Roseau areas.
A lady who resides in the area – Ms. Sophia Grant then found her after deciding to check the shack erected at the side of the road, a discovery that created an uproar of joy for the search party.

The circumstances under which the child ended up at the temporary structure at the side of the road are unknown.

The search party:
While the nation was anxious about the missing child, a number of people demonstrated what some have described as a high level of selflessness by coming together to form a search party to look for the child.
The search party included a number of people including members of the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force, M. Sophia Grant who found the child, the Parliamentary Representative for East Kingstown – Mr. Fitz Bramble, the new Director of the National Commission on Crime Prevention – (NCCP) Mr. Rodney Small, Cultural Ambassador – Darron Andrews, renowned Videographer and Swimmer – Steve Wallace, and scores of people from the East Kingstown constituency and elsewhere.
