Police have confirmed that a man was found dead tonight (November 23) with gunshot wounds in the Layou area.
The identity of the man or the circumstances surrounding his death are currently unknown, but police say they are investigating.
The man was reportedly found in the mountains of Layou.
His death marks the 50th homicide for 2023 in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The 2022 homicide count was a record 42.
It is also the third killing recorded in the Central Leeward town of Layou in November 2023.
His death comes after the November 18 fatal shooting of Leon Gaymes and the November 5 killing of Tambu Patrick, 31, both of Layou.
