Commissioner of Police (Ag) has collected a $5,000 cheque on behalf of the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) to support the Force’s 2023 Christmas Caroling Contest.
According to a press release from the RSVGPF, Mrs. Ayanna Samuel, Manager of the Police Cooperative Credit Union (PCCU), handed over the cheque at the Police Conference Room in the Police Headquarters on Wednesday, November 22, 2023.
“The event, graced by the presence of Mr. Brenton Smith, President of the Police Cooperative Credit Union, and Sergeant Cornelius Ross from the Police Christmas Caroling Committee and Public Relations and Complaints Department, marked a significant collaboration between the financial institution and the law enforcement agency,” the press release stated.
According to the press release, the Police Christmas Caroling Contest is scheduled to take place on Friday, December 15, 2023, at the Central Police Station, commencing at 7:30 pm.
Sixteen groups are anticipated to participate, with eight in the juniors and eight in the seniors category.
The defending champions are the Western Division Carollers in the seniors and the Layou Police Youth Club in the juniors.
Upon receiving the cheque, Commissioner Williams expressed sincere appreciation for the Credit Union’s generous donation, emphasizing its significant role in fostering enduring relationships with corporate partners, according to the press release.

“The funds will contribute to the success of the upcoming Police Christmas Caroling Contest, a cherished community tradition. He acknowledged the Police Cooperative Credit Union’s unwavering support and commitment to community initiatives,” the press release stated.
“Mrs. Ayanna Samuel conveyed her organization’s elation at collaborating with the police force for this remarkable event. She highlighted the shared goal of bringing Christmas cheer to the community and providing a platform for the talents of the Royal Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) members,” the press release stated.
