Plans have been approved for the expansion of health care services on the Grenadine Island of Bequia.
The island which is known for tourism is slowly turning into the medical hub of the Grenadines, and it is getting radiology services, namely – X-ray and ultrasound.
Deputy Director of Grenadines Affairs – Mr. Carlos Williams told One News SVG on Sunday (November 26) that the island’s main medical complex located in Port Elizabeth is also set to receive a field hospital, doctor’s quarters, an expansion of the accident and emergency area, and enhanced security.
All the works are to begin soon under the Port Elizabeth Hospital Enhancement Project.
