LIAT says it has resumed flights

The management of LIAT said today (December 7) that it has resumed flights.

The company had suspended its services in November 2023 “due to maintenance issues”.

“The company has been able to resolve the maintenance issues and resumed flying its regular schedule, which is currently open for sale, as of today, Thursday December 7, 2023,” LIAT stated in a press release today (December 7).

LIAT said it apologizes to all persons who were affected by the disruptions due to unscheduled maintenance issues. The company wishes to reiterate its commitment to the safety and comfort of passengers and crew as it continues to serve its current destinations.

The company said it “wishes to assure all customers that all employees will be working to ensure a smooth winter and Christmas travel season”.

LIAT, The Caribbean Airline, said it is currently under Administration. The Administrator is Mr. Cleveland Seaforth of BDO.

LIAT operates a limited schedule to nine destinations currently.
