The St. Martins Secondary School – SMSS has won the 2023 SVGFF Inter-Secondary Schools Junior Division Football Championship title.
The final was played on Sunday (December 10) at Victoria Park.
According to results released by the Department of Sports, St. Martins Secondary and the Bishop’s College Kingstown – BCK were at loggerheads well past halftime.
The 1-1 score was maintained, and it was a penalty kick in extra time that gave St. Martins the edge in the closely fought match.
Last week, the Georgetown Secondary Gladiators defeated the St. Clair Dacon Secondary School to secure 3rd place in the Junior Division of the SVGFF Inter-Secondary School Football Tournament, according to the Department of Sports.
