Police are on the scene at Edinboro where at least two people were shot leaving one dead and another hospitalized.
The identity of the deceased is unknown.
The hospitalized person is said to be 17-year-old Teneke Charles, a female who was shot in both hands.
Under the law, a child is classified as anyone under the age of 18.
The female is said to be in stable condition at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital.
The shooting death of the male marks this country’s 54th homicide for 2023, an unprecedented number.
