The Christmas lights under the Almond Tree at Port Elizabeth, Bequia outshined those of Point Village on the mainland breaking years of consecutive dominance enjoyed by Point Village.
The final results in the 2023 National Christmas Lighting Competition were announced today (December 24), and they show that Bequia’s Almond Tree Light Up won the Best Lit Community, overall.
In 2022, Point Village won the Best Lit Community title for 10 consecutive years.
For this year (2023), Point Village placed third.
In second position was Works in the North Leeward community of Rose Hall and Sion Hill Intersection placed fourth.
