Former parliamentarian Conrad Sayers has died

Former member of parliament for Central Kingstown – Mr. Conrad Sayers has died.

According to his family, Mr. Sayers died at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital last night (December 29) after being hospitalized for two weeks battling illness.

He was 75 years old.

Mr. Sayers, also a former teacher, served as Member of Parliament for Central Kingstown for two terms – from 2001-2005 and then from 2005 to 2010.

He has five children.

His death comes a few days after his sister Sharon ‘Cherry’ Sayers died on Tuesday.

Mr. Sayers also served as a former Public Service Union – PSU president.

Mr. Sayers who was born on October 13, 1948 lived a life of service.
