The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force has announced that it will make a LIVE statement at 6:00 p.m., this evening (December 31).
In its Facebook page announcement, the RSVGPF did not indicate what will be the nature of the statement.
The LIVE statement will be broadcast on the RSVGPF’s page.
The year 2023 has been an eventful one in terms of violent crime with an unprecedented 54 homicides recorded.
Most of the homicides have been gun-related.
This year, this country also recorded a mass shooting event in Kingstown where five individuals lost their lives.
It has also been an eventful year where motor vehicle accidents are concerned.
Police have also made progress in solving some crimes. For example, police announced on December 29 that they made a significant breakthrough in the investigation surrounding the killing of Zarrel Veronica “Keisha” Small of Arnos Vale (Pole Yard)/ Fountain.
“At 4:45 p.m. on today’s date (29.12.23), Police charged Rion “Pitbull” Cole, a 24-year-old Labourer of Paul’s Avenue with the offence of Murder. Cole is charged that between August 24th and 25th, 2022, with malice aforethought, he caused the death of Zarrel Veronica “Keisha” Small by an unlawful act,” police said in the press release.
