A local pastor who says he is a prophet had posted on Facebook in November 2023 that a renowned person would die in a plane crash.
In the November 26, 2023 post, Jason Providence said: “I Jason Providence saw a great plane falling from the sky. And the death of the renowned was known. Let us pray for air travels”.
The prophecy did not specify where the crash would take place, but most of the prophecies posted on his page concern St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Many people on social media have been reposting the prophecy and claiming that it refers to the January 4 tragic plane crash in Bequia that killed an American actor and a popular businessman in Bequia.
American actor – Christian Klesper was among four people who died in the plane crash off the coast of Bequia. He* was professionally known as Christian Oliver and acted in movies such as Speed Racer.
Mr. Klesper and his two daughters – Madita Klepser and Annik Klepser, 10 and 12 years old, respectively, were traveling to St. Lucia after vacationing in Bequia.
Mr. Robert Sachs of Bequia who piloted the single-engine aircraft also died leaving the Northern Grenadine Island in mourning.
The Prophecy and the Prophet:
Public opinion has been divided about the pastor from Life by Faith Ministries who was recently cleared in the court of allegations surrounding him.
Some people criticise him over some of his prophecies which some say lack specificity while others praise him for his accuracy.
Some Vincentians reject metaphysical explanations of events while others embrace spirituality.
Mr. Providence has a strong following and boldly professes his Christian faith by visiting several Caribbean countries providing what he terms as “deliverance” for many people who are in spiritual bondage.
One of his most recent prophecies is that he saw “empty rivers, where water use to be was none found. Pigs 🐖 and bulls ran the streets seeking food and found none”.
