A tourist died today (January 26) in St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) after reportedly complaining of chest pains.
The deceased has been identified as German national Matthias Thormaehlen, a 53-year-old.

One News SVG was informed that the man was a passenger on the Cruise Ship AIDA Perla which has a capacity of 3,286 passengers.
The ship arrived at the Cruise Ship Terminal in Kingstown, St. Vincent today (January 26).
According to reports, the man was riding his bike around Capital City Kingstown with his brother.
They also cycled to Indian Bay.
While they were riding through the Sion Hill/Casson Hill area, the man was reportedly complaining about chest pains and then passed out.
He was transported to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Acting Prime Minister Saboto Caesar, police, and government officials are currently on the cruise ship which is docked in Kingstown. They are speaking to the captain of the ship and the brother of the victim.
This story was updated at 7:03 p.m. to correct part of the name of the ship from Peria to Perla. The former was typed in error. Details that the brothers cycled to Indian Bay were also added.
