Police have confirmed that a body was discovered in the West Kingstown community of Gibson Corner tonight with what appears to be gunshot wounds.
Up to press time, the body was unidentified.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are unclear.
The body has since been removed from the scene and transported to the mortuary of the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital.
Police are investigating.
The death of the individual is the second shooting death for 2024 and the third homicide for the year.

St. Vincent and the Grenadines recorded a few non-fatal shooting incidents in January 2024, one of which involved a man being shot in his leg at Gibson Corner.
The country came out of its most violent year (2023), where a record-breaking 55 homicides were recorded.
The 2023 figure broke the previously set record of 42 recorded in 2022.
