For the past three nights, the Windward communities of Reeves Level and Cedars have recorded several home invasions where a strange substance is being used.

“They’ve done this in Hadley’s Village, South Union and now Reeves Level/Cedars for the past three nights,” a member of one of the communities told One News SVG today (February 15).

The individual said the perpetrators “pry open windows then spray some sort of substance that renders the inhabitants to remain asleep”.

“They then raid your fridge, purses/wallets and take money and jewelry,” a community member told One News SVG today (February 15).

“There’s been a rare couple of instances where persons in other rooms were awoken by the commotion and decided to venture outside where the suspect would then flee,” the resident who wished to remain anonymous said.

“However, there are persons claiming that they are persons on the outside who are armed and who belong to the same gang,” the resident said.

“Reports have been made to the Biabou Police station, but up until now, no public advisory has been made to notify the wider community,” the resident told One News SVG.

“It is very worrying,” the resident said, adding that, “if a man could enter a home with females he could also venture to rape”.
