Founder of One News SVG – Mr. Demion McTair and two other media people from St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) left the state earlier today (February 15) and are on their way to India.
The three were selected by the Government of India for a media familiarization tour in India where they will meet with top dignitaries and tour places of importance in India.
They will join senior editors from 15 other Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) countries who have also been selected for the tour.
The other two media practitioners selected to represent St.Vincent and the Grenadines are Mr. Colvin Harry – Assistant General Manager of the state-owned National Broadcasting Corporation and Ms. Nadia Slater – Deputy Director of the Agency for Public Information.
Mr. McTair is the founder and owner of One News SVG – St. Vincent and the Grenadines’ youngest and fastest-growing online news site.
Prior to managing One News SVG full-time, McTair served as the Assistant General Manager (Public Relations and Administration) of the state-owned National Broadcasting Corporation. Mr. McTair also currently serves as an Adjunct Lecturer at the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College – SVGCC.
They are expected to return to the state on February 26, 2024.
