The department is responsible for the management of Crown land, determining property boundaries, and ensuring that all surveys are carried out in accordance with provisions of the law.

Surveyor, Kevin Bascombe and assistant, Jonté Francis addressed the class of 6, who are preparing for Life Skills in the interest of students who are yet to graduate this year and had the opportunity to learn about how Surveying works.

While some students expressed interest in other jobs fields like mechanic or police, they all were delighted to experience the instruments used for surveying. After the interaction, one student said: “ I going build my own house just now”.

The institution continues to motivate and support students in their interest to pursue their careers after school.
