The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) said its officers at the Biabou Police Station are investigating the circumstances surrounding an incident that left a man hospitalized.
Police said in a press release today (March 4) that the motor vehicle RA-347, a Toyota Vitz, driven by Kevin Lewis, a 40-year-old Carpenter of Largo Height, went over an embankment in the vicinity of the Gas Station in Peruvian Vale.

“Preliminary investigation indicates that about 7:00 a.m. on 4.02.24, Lewis was driving along the Peruvian Vale public road in the direction of Argyle when he lost control of the vehicle and went over the embankment,” police said in the release.
“He was the only occupant in the vehicle at the time of the incident, the release stated.

The release said: “When police arrived at the scene, the driver was found lying on his back. He complained of pain in the neck and lower body”.
“He was transported by ambulance to the Levi Latham Health Center and then to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital (MCMH) where he is being treated and is reported to be in a stable condition,” the release said.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
The incident is one of several recorded on March 4. Among those recorded was one in Mesopotamia where a car ran off the main road and ended up in a river. It is not clear if anyone was injured.
