Adventist Church youths to hold events nationwide on March 16

Young people who are part of the S.V.G Mission of Seventh-day Adventists will host events through St. Vincent and the Grenadines on March 16 to mark Global Youth Day.

The events are being organized by the Adventist Youth Ministries Advisory Council of the S.V.G Mission of Seventh-day Adventists.

The organizers said a wide range of free activities are scheduled to be executed including prayer and counseling sessions, health awareness and checks, devotional walks, literature distribution, hot meals/food package distributions, care packages & clothing distribution, career guidance sign-up, and mini concert/street meeting, among others.

Global Youth Day is an annual initiative led by the youth ministries department of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists where young people are motivated to get out of their comfort zones to “Be the Sermon” as they show the love of Jesus through acts of kindness wherever they go, according to the organizers.

The organizers told One News SVG activities will take place in Troumaca in North Leeward, Barrouallie Park Square and Layou Waterfront in Central Leeward, the Anglican School in Central Kingstown, Calliaqua Playing Field for the Eastern and Southern Districts, Mesopotamia Hard Court of the Eastern and Western Districts, Diamonds Village in the South Windward District, and the Chili Hard Court for the North and Central Windward Districts.

In the Grenadines, activities will take place at Port Elizabeth, Bequia, the Administrative Building at Canouan, and Central Ashton in Union Island.

The organizers said the theme for this year’s activities is “Show Up in the Cities”.

“The Youth Ministries Department of the SVG Mission of Seventh-day Adventist and the Adventist Youth Ministries Advisory Council (AYMAC) will join the World Church as we celebrate this day at several locations (mainly towns and social hotspots) across the St. Vincent and the Grenadines,” the organizers told One News SVG.
