A family in the East St. George community of Glen is counting losses after thieves cut their camera wires before breaking into their house.
The incident is reported to have taken place during the late hours of March 13 into the early hours of March 14.

One News SVG contacted the police today (March 15) who confirmed that a report about a break-in was made by victims in Glen. No further information was given.
One News SVG was reliably informed that the break-in involved the use of a substance sprayed by the perpetrator(s) to sedate the victims before robbing them of their belongings.

The perpetrators reportedly cut the wires connecting the security cameras during the ordeal.
The victims reportedly woke up with their eyes and nose burning, One News SVG was told.
This is the same tactic that has been reportedly used in Cedars and other South and South Central Windward communities. More recently, the sedation by chemical spray tactic has been reportedly used in the East Kingstown communities of Cane Garden and Sion Hill.

Some of the items reportedly lost in the ordeal in Glen include clothing, a wallet with bank cards and an undisclosed sum of cash, and a female work bag.
The perpetrators reportedly disposed of the female handbag on the main road, and it was retrieved by police, One News SVG was informed.

Investigations into the matter are continuing.
