One News SVG can confirm that a man is suspected to have drowned at the Brighton/Kitchen area on Sunday (March 17).
One News SVG investigated the report and found that the deceased has been identified as Robin Spencer, a member of the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force.

One News SVG contacted police via telephone, and they have also confirmed the incident.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are currently unknown, but it is reported that he went fishing.
The Brighton/Kitchen area is a costal area locally known as “Rock”. Headed northwards on the coast, it comes after the Brighton Salt Pond.

Sunday’s drowning is the second reported drowning death in just over a week.

On Saturday, March 9, 2024, Wesley Dick, a 49-year-old Labourer of South Wood/ Belmont is suspected to have drowned at Indian Bay.
Police in the Calliaqua district are investigating the circumstances surrounding that incident.
