Fisherman allegedly steals flatscreen TV, tools & jewelry from Policeman’s house

Police say on March 17 they arrested and charged Rohan Yorke, 20 years old Fisherman of Diamond with the offence of Burglary.

In a press release issued on March 19, the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) said the accused allegedly stole a flatscreen TV, tools, jewelry and other items from a police officer’s house.

“According to the investigations, the accused allegedly entered the dwelling house of a 39-year-old Police Officer of Edinboroas a trespasser and stole one (1)  black RCA 50” Flat Screen Television Set valued $2,200 EC, two (2) Cotton Towels valued$79.00EC, one (1) yellow and black Dewalt Hand Drill value $499.00EC, two (2) Black Dewalt  Batteries value $250.00EC, one (1) Bracelet valued $100.00 EC, one  (1)  14 Karat Gold Chain valued $510.00 EC, one Black Pioneer  Remote Control valued $42.00 EC and one (1) Black Firestick valued $200.00 EC- total value $3960.00EC,” police said in the release.

Police say the offence was committed in Edinboro on 29th August 2023 between 8:30 am and 2:50 pm.

Yorke is expected to appear before the Kingstown Magistrate Court to answer the charge, police said.

The country has been facing a number of burglaries lately.
