Three men are the latest to have been arrested and charged by police for burglary.
In a March 26 press release, police said that on March 25, they arrested and charged Romano Jacobs, a 22 year old Labourer, Omarie Jacobs , a 20 year old Labourer and Jeron Cockburn, a 25 years old Labourer of Lauders with the Offence of Burglary.

“Investigations revealed that the trio went into the St.Clair Dacon Secondary School Canteen as trespassers between 5:30 pm on the 18.03.24 and 4:30 a.m. on the 19.03.24 and stole a quantity of items value one thousand, one hundred and fifty ($1,150.00 ECC),” police said.
“They were also charged for entering the same building between 5pm on the 20.03.24 and 4:30 am on the 21.3.24 and stole a quantity of items valued at two thousand , five hundred and eighty six and fifty five cents ( $2,586.55 EC) – The property of a 62 year old vendor of Diamond. Entry was gained by forced opening a wooden door on the southern side of the building,” police said.

“All three are expected to appear before the Kingstown Magistrate Court to answer the charges,” police said.
Meanwhile on March 25, 2024 police arrested and charged Romano Jacobs, 22 years old Labourer, Omarie Jacobs 20 years labourer and Jeron Cockburn 25 year old Labourer of Lauders and Alfred Hoyte, 48 years old Labourer of Arnos Vale for the offence of Dishonestly Obtaining, the RSVGPF said in the release.

According to the report made, the names mentioned above knowingly or believing that a quantity of snacks and products to be stolen goods dishonestly obtained same for their own benefit, police said.
They are expected to appear before the Kingstown Magistrate Court to answer the charge, police added.
