This country has lost a man who some have described as one of its best auto mechanics.
The man – Kellon Stapleton of the North Leeward community of Rose Hall died after the vehicle he was driving overturned in an area of Rose Hall called Belmont.
The incident is reported to have occurred during the early hours of Wednesday, March 27, 2024.
A passenger was accompanying him, but that person survived and is nursing injuries.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are unclear.
Parliamentary representative for North Leeward – Mr. Carlos James who said he is close to the Stapleton family has expressed his condolences.
In a Facebook post, he said: “Kellon, you were a positive youth and a role model to many. One of the best auto mechanics in the region. Rest In Power, young blood. My condolences to Grace and her family.”
One News SVG understands that Kellon who followed his father’s footsteps to become a mechanic perfected his craft and travelled around the region offering mechanic services.
Kellon has also been described as a very community spirited young man who was a positive role model in his community.
