Vincentian sprinter – Keo Davis has advanced to the finals of the 2024 CARIFTA Games being held in Grenada.
In a show of speed, the young sprinter ran a time of 21.26 seconds in the semifinals to secure a spot in the U20 Boys 200m final.
This means Davis ran faster than the 200-metre Senior Boys record he set at the March 21 Inter-Secondary School Athletics Championships which was 21.28 seconds but not as fast as his record of 20.80 set at the 2024 CARIFTA trials at the Sir. Vincent Beache Athletics Stadium (updated).

In Sunday’s CARIFTA semifinal, he finished second to Jamaica’s Johan-Ramaldo Smythe who clocked a time of 21.21.
In third position was Antigua’s Kasiya Daley who made a time of 21.82 in the semi-final showdown.
The 200m final is scheduled for Monday, April 1, 2024 at 6:15pm.
