Vincentian sprinter – Keo Davis finished fourth in the U20 Boys 200m final at the 51st CARIFTA Games being held in Grenada after suffering what appears to be a groin injury.
According to the results, Davis achieved a time of 21.10 seconds, his second fastest time ever, according to ITDAT Academy, a reputable local sports club covering the event.

According to the club, Keo will be competing at the World Junior Championships in Lima, Peru this August.
His injury deterred him from gaining a medal in the finals after his impressive showing in the semi finals on March 31 where he ran a time of 21.26 seconds in the semifinals to secure his spot in today’s U20 Boys 200m final.
In the finals, the first position was taken by Jamaica’s Gary Card in a time of 20.60 seconds. Barbados’ Aragorn Straker took second position in a time of 20.76 seconds while the Cayman Islands’ Davonte Howell finished third in a time of 20.90 seconds.

In 2022 at the 49th CARIFTA games in Jamaica, Davis took the bronze medal in the U17 Boys 100m in a time of 10.77.
Keo Davis has also secured a 2nd place in the U17 200m in a time of 22.19, just 0.6 seconds behind Rickoy Hunter of Jamaica who won that race.
The 2024 CARIFTA Games began on March 30 and ended today – April 1, 2024. The games were being held at the Kirani James Athletic Stadium in St. George’s, Grenada.
