The state-run Central Water and Sewage Authority – CWSA announced tonight (April 2) that some areas being fed by the Montreal Water System will experience some disruptions in their water supply as the dry season continues.
In a post on its official Facebook page, the CWSA said: “As the dry season continues, it has become necessary to begin nightly water rationing” beginning tonight – Tuesday, April 2, for areas being serviced by the Montreal Water System.
The water disruptions run from 8:00 p.m until 5:00 a.m.
The CWSA said that during the drought conditions being faced, disruptions may occur before or after the stipulated time Ans may go on for a longer duration due to unexpected changes in demand and continuing reduction in river flow.
The areas are listed in the poster below.
The impacted areas include Richland Park, Hopewell, Simkn, Mesopotamia, Glenside, Freeland, Caruth, Montaque, Mt. Pleasant, Carierre, Collins, Evesham, La Croix, Ginger Village, Belmont, Pomsette, Chile, Top Victoria Village, Akers, Calder Ridge, South Wood, Glamorgan, Enhams, and Top Carapan.
