JetBlue Airways Corporation, a low-cost airline in the United States (known as Jet Blue) has officially announced that it will begin a flight service to St. Vincent and the Grenadines in the Fall of 2024.

“This fall, JetBlue will launch flights from New York’s JFK to the pristine beauty of St. Vincent and the Grenadines with service to Argyle International Airport (SVD),” the airline states on its official website.

The exact start date and the frequency of the flights to St. Vincent were not stated on the website, but St. Vincent and the Grenadines’ Tourism Minister – Carlos James said today (May 8) that, “SVD is now officially part of JetBlue’s global route structure effective the first half of October, 2024. In addition to St. Vincent, the Caribbean destinations – Bonaire and St. Croix are also scheduled to benefit from Jet Blue’s newly announced planned service.

St. Vincent and the Grenadines’ first and only international airport – the Argyle International Airport (AIA) became operational on February 14, 2017. Since then, the country has been able to attract non-stop and direct flights from North America and the United Kingdom.

Air Canada, American Airlines, Caribbean Airlines, and Virgin Atlantic are among the airlines that operate seasonally in the St. Vincent market.

Travel planners and policymakers say they predict that more airlines will provide more frequent service to destinations from North America and elsewhere since world-renowned brands like Sandals International and Holiday Inn are opening resorts in the country.
