The results of a recently conducted One News SVG poll show that many Vincentians think the introduction of a zipline and a water park will help to boost this country’s tourism product.
The poll was launched on Tuesday on One News SVG’s Facebook page which has nearly 40,000 followers.
The question thrown out in the poll was: “Which one of the following would you say would best enhance St. Vincent and the Grenadines’ (SVG) tourism product?”

Over 2,700 votes were cast in the poll, and voters were able to choose multiple options including zipline, waterpark, cable car, jet ski, improvement of public infrastructure and the beautification of Kingstown, a paid fruit-tasting experience at the Downtown Market, and a continuous expo of local food and products during the tourism season.
The top four options included the Zipline with 772 votes or 27 percent of the votes; a waterpark with 752 votes, or 26 percent of the votes; the improvement of public infrastructure and the beautification of Kingstown with 462 votes, or 16 percent of the votes, and Jet skiing with 313 votes or 11 percent of the votes.

Currently, St. Vincent and the Grenadines remains a relatively unspoiled destination offering sand sun, and sea with eco-tourism offerings.
The main experiences include ATV riding, kayaking, kitesurfing, birdwatching, heritage tourism, hiking (including the La Soufriere volcano), scuba diving, and sailing.
The country has some of the most beautiful sailing waters in the world.
As tourism expands, many locals have been calling for public-private partnerships to establish more experiences across the country.
