Police say drug related charges against two Grenadians in St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) have been withdrawn.
In a May 14 press release the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) said that on May 9, 2024 they arrested and charged three men – Romario McDonald, Raheem Rougier, and Vincent Edwards in Petit Bordel for possession of 13,620 grams of cannabis.

The men were charged with possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply and drug trafficking, police said.
“On May 13, 2024, all three accused appeared before the Serious Offences Court in Kingstown. Vincent Edwards pleaded guilty to both charges, while the other two pleaded not guilty. All three men were remanded in custody and the matter was adjourned to May 14, 2024,” police said.

Police said that today, May 14, 2024, Vincent Edwards maintained his guilty plea and was fined $6,000.00 ECC for drug trafficking and $3,000.00 ECC for possession of controlled drugs, to be paid by December 16, 2024.
If he defaults on payment, he will face one year of imprisonment, police said.
The charges against Romario McDonald and Raheem Rougier have been withdrawn, police added.
