SVG Air announced Friday (May 17) that it has scheduled additional flights between mainland St. Vincent and Canouan to facilitate people wishing to attend Canouan’s One Fest.
One Fest in Canouan will be held from May 31 to June 2, 2024.
The three-day festival is designed to celebrate local culture and community engagement through music, dance, and family-oriented activities which will mainly be held at Soho House, Canouan.
In a statement on its official Facebook page, SVG Air said flights are available on May 31 at 6:00 departing SVG, May 31 at 6:20 p.m., Canouan, Monday, June 3 at 8:20 a.m., departing Canouan, and 5:30 p.m., from Canouan to SVG.
“One Fest Canouan: Good music, good food, good vibes, good fun. With live performances by a great selection of local artistes. Come enjoy the beautiful Canouan beach while you try your hand at some painting, peruse the market, or play some games with the kids!” SVG Air said.
One-way tickets cost $155.00 while a round trip costs $300.00. Tickets can be booked at 1 (784) 457 5124.
Event Schedule:
Friday: A dynamic lineup of DJs including DJ Chadd, DJ Multivator, and DJ Jamin Walters will set the tone for the festivities.
Saturday: The day will feature a DJ workshop by DJ Jamin Walters, salsa dancing classes from Euphoria Dance Academy, and live performances by local and regional musicians including Danielle Veira, The Hub Collective, Rodney Small, and the Flames Band, ending with an evening party with DJ 2 Kool Kris
Sunday: The festival will close with a family fun day including BBQ, beach games, live music from The Hub Collective featuring Abu Zanimah, Colin “Minkah” Peters, Hance John and a cool afternoon vibe with DJ Jamin Walters, activities like Sip & Paint, and a movie screening. There’s also a special boat ride with Beefy’s to nearby islands Mayreau and Union Island.
