Police say that on May 20, 2024, they arrested and jointly charged Diazhaun Jack, a 19-year-old labourer from Diamond, and Jevan Dallaway, a 22-year-old self-employed resident of the same address, with the offences of Wounding and Robbery.
In a May 22 press release, the Public Relations and Complaints Department of the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) said Jack and Dallaway are accused of unlawfully and maliciously wounding a 39-year-old labourer from Lowmans Windward by beating him with a piece of board about his body.

“They are also accused of robbing the complainant of $910.00 ECC in cash, one (1) gold-plated Michael Kors wristwatch valued at $800.00 ECC, one (1) ZTE cellular phone valued at $200.00 ECC, one (1) black cap valued at $70.00 ECC, and one (1) blue short jeans pants valued at $80.00 ECC, with a total value of $2,060.00 ECC. The offences occurred in Diamond on April 23, 2024,” police said.
Police said both men appeared before the Serious Offences Court on May 21, 2024, and pleaded not guilty to the offences. They were remanded in custody and the matter was adjourned to June 4, 2024.

Meanwhile, police say that on May 19, 2024, they arrested and charged Mazino Tesheira, a 29-year-old labourer from Cane End, Mesopotamia, with the offence of Wounding.
“Tesheira is accused of unlawfully and maliciously wounding, a 34-year-old farmer from Mesopotamia, by striking him on the left side of his knee with a cutlass. The offences occurred in Cane End, Mesopotamia, on May 14, 2024, police said.
“Mazino Tesheira appeared before the Calliaqua Magistrates Court on May 21, 2024, where he pleaded not guilty. He was granted bail in the sum of $1,500.00 ECC, and the matter was adjourned to May 31, 2024,” police said.
