Two National Track and Field records were broken over the weekend in Jamaica and the United States, Team Athletics SVG has reported.

In a May 26 press release, Team Athletics SVG (TASVG) said Earl Simmonds set a new mark in the men’s 100m, after he ran 10.13, to place second at the JAAA’s All Comers Meet at the National Stadium in Jamaica on Saturday, May 25th.

He eclipsed Joel Mascol’s 1998 10.17,” TASVG said.

TASVG also said that Odeshia Nanton continued her fine form in the Women’s 400m Hurdles this season, when she placed 2nd at the NCAA Division 2 National Championships, in 57.62.

This is the second time this season she has broken the record, having done so earlier, when she ran 58.82, TASVG said in the press release.
