In a thrilling finish, South Africa defeated Nepal by one (1) run in the second Group D match in St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) in the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup.
In the first innings, Nepal restricted South Africa to a score of 115/7 off 20 overs.
In reply, Nepal went down to the wire in the final over to score 114/7 off 20 overs losing a wicket at the end of the crucial last over.
Both teams faced each other tonight for the first time in the tournament.

The energy at the Arnos Vale stadium was high with thousands of attendees. The match was the first international T20 cricket match to be played under the floodlights in St. Vincent.
The first Group D match in St. Vincent was played on Thursday between Bangladesh and the Netherlands where Bangladesh comfortably won by 25 runs.

On Saturday, June 22, the first quarterfinal match will be played at 8:30 p.m. between a leading team from Group C and another team from Group B.
The final 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup match in St. Vincent and the Grenadines is scheduled for Monday, June 24 at 8:30 p.m., where a team from Group C will face a team from Group D.
