Bangladesh wins match against Nepal by 21 runs in SVG

Bangladesh kept Nepal at bay by winning tonight’s ICC Men’s T20 World Cup match in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Bangladesh won by 21 runs.

Bangladesh batted first and made 106 runs from 19.3 overs. In reply, Nepal fell short of the target making only 85 off 19.2 overs.

This is Bangladesh’s second win having defeated the Netherlands by 25 runs on June 13 when the first Group D match was played in St. Vincent.

It is also Nepal’s second defeat having lost on Friday to South Africa by one (1) run.

The match brings the curtains down on the group-stage matches in SVG.

The next matches in SVG will be in the Super 8 (quarterfinal) stage.

On Saturday, June 22, the first quarterfinal match will be played at 8:30 p.m. between a leading team from Group C and another team from Group B.

The final 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup match in St. Vincent and the Grenadines is scheduled for Monday, June 24 at 8:30 p.m., where a team from Group C will face a team from Group D.
