One of the top performers in the 2024 Caribbean Primary Exit Assessment (CPEA) Darius Jonathan Humphrey said he is interested in becoming a lawyer.
The 11-year-old from the Sugar Mill Academy placed second overall in the 2024 CPEA examinations according to the preliminary results.
One News SVG interviewed him and his mother today (June 21), and the articulate and energetic young man said law is his interest.
He performed well across the board gaining an average of 97.6 percent overall.
He said preparing for the exam was helped by a structure his mother put in place and assistance he received from his teachers and his lessons teacher – Mr. Inniss Primus.

Darius’ mom – Ms. Shernette Richards described her son as a driven, self-motivated, and very disciplined young man.
“I think the discipline was instilled from his participation in sports like squash and karate. Most importantly, he is a Christian and a firm believer in God,” his mother told One News SVG.
She expressed her thanks to everyone who made Darius’ success possible including his teachers, his coach, his aunt, and the foundation he received at his former school – the Calliaqua Anglican School.
