SVG Met Office says Beryl is now a hurricane and can intensify quickly

The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Meteorological Services (SVG Met Office) said Beryl is now a hurricane and is forecast to intensify quickly.

In a 5:00 p.m., Advisory today (June 29) the Met Office reiterated that a Hurricane Watch remains in effect for St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

A hurricane watch means that sustained winds of 75 mph (120kmh) or greater are expected across our area within 48 hours, the Met Office said.

Meanwhile, the Met Office has advised that another area of concern/disturbance is located over the Eastern Atlantic, with a 60 percent chance of development and tracking near our area by Wednesday.
