Argyle International Airport reopens today (July 3)

The Argyle International Airport (AIA) will resume operations today (July 3).

The airport closed down it operations on June 30 in preparation for the passing of Hurricane Beryl.

Due to the passage of Hurricane Beryl, the Grenadines airports (Bequia, Canouan, and Union Island) also temporarily ceased operations.

Today, July 3, the airport will begin operations at 8:00 a.m. to facilitate humanitarian and military operations, the AIA said in a press release.

The AIA said commercial operations will begin from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM today, and Cargo Terminal Operations will run from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM today.

The AIA said inna release that on Thursday, July 4, 2024 normal operations will run from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

The Grenadines airports (Bequia, Canouan, and Union Island), however, will remain closed until further notice.

The AIA’s fence was damaged on July 1 as the category 4 hurricane passed through our area.

The terminal building for the Union Island Airport was severely damaged.
