The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Meteorological Services (SVG Met Office) says a flash flood watch is in effect for St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) until 6:00 p.m. this evening (July 12).

The Met Office says the radar image at 11:20 am today, Friday, shows pockets of convective activity (showers and thunder) across the island chain, with most of it concentrated to the south.

The shower activity stems fromthe presence of a tropical wave that is affecting the islands.

With a south-easterly wind flow, the mainland could receive frequent pockets of showers and thunder for the remainder of the day, the Met Office report said.
