BREAKING: PM Gonsalves announces Cabinet Reshuffle

Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves has announced a reshuffle of this country’s Executive arm of government – the Cabinet.

He made the following announcement at a ceremony at the Argyle International Airport where heads of government of the Organisation of the Eastern Caribbean States were in attendance.

The heads are here to visit the hurricane-ravaged parts of the country.

Here are the specifics of the reshuffle announced by the prime minister which affected three ministers:

Honourable Frederick Stephenson

Previous portfolio: Ministry of Public Service, Consumer Affairs and Sports

New portfolio: Frederick Augustus Stephenson will now be Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Commerce and Consumer Affairs.

Honourable Keisal Peters

Previous portfolio: Senator the Honourable Keisal Melissa Peters is the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of St. Vincent & the Grenadines.

New portfolio: Senator Keisal Peters will now serve as Minister of National Mobilisation, Social Development, Gender Affairs, et al.

Honourable Dr. Orando Brewster

Previous Portfolio: Minister of National Mobilization, Social Development, Family, Gender Affairs, Youth, Housing and Informal Human Settlement

New portfolio: Mr. Brewster will now serve as Minister of Housing, Youth, Sports, and Informal Human Settlement.

The portfolio of the Public Service will go under the Office of the Prime Minister.
