BREAKING: Jamaican dancehall star Vybz Kartel is in SVG

Jamaican dancehall star – Adidja Azim Palmer known as Vybz Kartel is in SVG. 

He arrived moments ago at the Argyle International Airport. 

The reason for his visit is unclear, but recently, Searchlight Newspaper reported that Mr. Palmer said he was looking at three countries to pursue medical care for his Graves’ Disease, among them being St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG).

Though known for successful world class pediatric surgeries and procedures under the World Pediatric Project (WPP), St. Vincent and the Grenadines has a wide cadre of Vincentian and Cuban medical specialists who are able to treat a number of conditions.

The world-renowned Jamaican entertainer who was recently freed of murder charges after 13 years in prison in Jamaica also appeared in a video wishing happy birthday to Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves on August 8.

He also recently signed a contract with entities in Jamaica to perform at a concert on December 31 in Jamaica. 

In a video posted on his official Facebook page, Mr. Palmer announced plans to appear in concerts in several other Caribbean countries including The Bahamas, Grenada, and Barbados.

In another video, the entertainer announced that he was to travel to Belize to visit the country’s opposition party officials.

It is not clear how long the Jamaican entertainer will be in SVG.

In a video of his arrival at a local hotel, Press Officer in the Office of the Prime Minister – Mr. Shevrell McMillan could be seen assisting Mr. Palmer with his check-in process.
