MoneyGram announced on Wednesday (September 25) that it continues to make progress and is resuming additional services after a “cybersecurity issue” affected its operations.

Since September 20, people around the world were unable to access the money transfer service.

On Wednesday, however, MoneyGram said on its official Facebook page: “Many of our agent partners are now available for sending and receiving money, including fulfilling pending transactions. We are continuing to work diligently to resume our remaining services, including moneygram.com”.

Today, the SVG Postal Corporation, one of the MoneyGram agents in St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) confirmed that MoneyGram money transfer service has resumed and is available at all its outlets, namely Kingstown, Georgetown, Calliaqua, Mesopotamia, Layou, Barrouallie, Chateaubelair, and Bequia.

The SVG Postal Corporation said: “We thank you for your patronage and patience as there may be some service delays during the day”.

The money transfer service has also been restored at Massy Stores locations and Going Places Travel. A call to Massy Stores before publication revealed that the MoneyGram service at their Arnos Vale, Kingstown, and Stoney Grounds locations was operational. (Updated).

Going Places Travel, another MoneyGram agent in St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) said: “As of Wednesday, September 25th, 2024, MoneyGram services are back up at our St. Lucia and St. Vincent offices. Please note that connectivity may be intermittent”. (Updated).

“Our Barbados offices are not fully operational as yet and agents are still awaiting service restoration,” Going Places Travel said. (Updated).

MoneyGram said: “We appreciate the patience of our customers and partners”.
