Police say that on December 2, 2024, they arrested and charged Neville Edwards, a 40-year-old Labourer of Greiggs, with the offences of Indecent Language, Resisting Arrest, and Assault.
In a December 4 press release, the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) said Investigations revealed that the accused used indecent language in the yard of the Old Greiggs Primary School, reportedly saying, “(expletive) police me na k”. When a police officer attempted to arrest him, Edwards resisted by pulling away and further assaulted the officer by pushing him in the chest with his hands while the officer was acting in the due execution of his duties.

The offences were committed on December 1, 2024, in Greiggs, police say.
Edwards appeared before the Kingstown Magistrate Court on December 3, 2024, and pleaded not guilty to the charges.
He was granted composite bail in the sum of $2,000.00 ECC with one surety. He was also ordered to report to the Calliaqua Police Station every Thursday between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
The matter was adjourned and transferred to the Biabou Magistrate Court for December 11, 2024.
