2 More world-renowned celebrities visit SVG for private vacation

Two more world-famous celebrities have recently arrived in St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) for a private vacation. They were spotted at Argyle International Airport.

The visitors include acclaimed American actress Anne Hathaway and renowned actor and filmmaker Robert Downey Jr. Their arrival adds to the growing list of high-profile personalities who have chosen SVG as their getaway destination, joining the likes of Taye Diggs, Joe Manganiello, Lionel Richie, YouTube sensation Mr. Beast, actress Gabrielle Union-Wade, and Devalle Ellis along with his wife.

Ms. Hathaway is enjoying her time on a private vacation, while Mr. Downey is also here for a similar retreat.

Although it is not uncommon for celebrities to visit SVG, the timing of this latest influx comes shortly after St. Vincent and the Grenadines was honored with the title of Best Nature Destination 2024 by the by World Tourism Awards

CNN also listed the Nothern Grenadine island of Bequia as one of the best places to visit in 2025.

Ms. Hattaway is known for her roles in numerous high-grossing films such as Princess Diaries, Rachel Getting Married, and Les Misérables.

Mr. Downey is known for top films such as Avengers, Iron Man, Captain America, and others. 

Britannica describes Robert Downey, Jr. (born April 4, 1965, New York, New York, U.S.) as one of Hollywood’s most gifted and versatile actors. 

He earned acclaim for such early films as Chaplin (1992) and later found considerable fame as the superhero Iron Man in the Marvel filmfranchise. In 2024 Downey won the Academy Award for best supporting actor for his performance in Oppenheimer (2023).

Situated in the Eastern Caribbean, St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) is an archipelagic state comprised of 32 islands and cays. 

SVG has some of the best sailing waters in the world, an active volcano, and warm and friendly people.
