St. Vincent and the Grenadines continues to solidify its spot, ranking among the world’s top 10 in the prestigious Guinness League of Excellence, while also securing the #1 spot in the region for the third time in 3 years, the St. Vincent Brewery Limited announced today (February 13).

“This remarkable achievement underscores St. Vincent Brewery Limited’s (SVBL) unwavering commitment to quality, taste, and consistency on both a regional and global scale,” the Brewery said.

“The mid-year Guinness performance rankings strengthen St. Vincent’s dominant position with a score of 90.99, surpassing fierce competitionfrom across the Caribbean and Latin America. Trinidad and Barbados followed closely, with sister company Banks Brewery (Barbados) Limited earning the #3 position,” the Brewery added.

“Achieving a world top 10 ranking places St. Vincent and the Grenadines among an elite group of markets setting the gold standard for Guinness performance. This milestone is a testament to the island’s brewing excellence led by its Brewmaster Monique Bailey under the leadership of Plant Manager Colin Huskinson, along with the rest of the relentlessly dedicated team of SVBL,” the Brewery said in a press release.

Reflecting on this extraordinary feat, the Country Manager of St. Vincent Brewery Limited Mrs. Shafia London shared her pride and admiration for the team: “Winning the regional title three times in three years is a phenomenal accomplishment, but earning a place in the world’s top 10 also takes it to another level. This achievement is a direct reflection of our team’s passion, discipline, and unwavering commitment to quality. Our focus remains on maintaining this high standard, not just for SVBL, but for St. Vincent and the Grenadines as a whole. We are proud to represent our country on the global stage and will continue to push the boundaries of excellence.”

With this latest accolade, St. Vincent Brewery Limited continues to raise the bar for performance in the industry, proving that small islands can achieve big, world-class results.

Britannica says on its website, “Guinness was founded when Arthur Guinness bought a small brewery in Dublin in 1759. At first the brewery produced a variety of ales and beers, but in 1799 it was decided to concentrate exclusively on porter, a dark beer with a rich head. The beer, later known as stout, prospered and came to be regarded as the national beer of Ireland. Guinness died in 1803, and his son Arthur took over the family business and greatly expanded sales to Great Britain. By 1833 Guinness was the largest brewery in Ireland”.

On its website, Guinness & Co says, “Guinness beer is available in well over 100 countries worldwide and is brewed in over 40. Some of the biggest-selling markets for Guinness Draught include Great Britain, Ireland, Nigeria, US and Cameroon”.
